The Thule Urban Glide 2 Combo and the BOB Alterrain pro combo, and the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo are all easy to maneuver. However, the BOB Revolutionflex 3.0 Combo and the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo can be pushed with one hand.

Some models are hard to attach or detach from the base, though. The Doona Combo, for example requires a two-step attach process and straps that slide over the infant's bottom portion. It's tempting to skip these steps but it could result in dangerous outcomes.

Additionally certain models are difficult to fold away and store, which makes them less practical than other. The Graco FastAction 3-in-1 Car Seat Stroller, for example, is difficult to fold due to its huge dimensions and bulky frame. The model also has a small canopy, which some users find to be disappointing. On the other hand the Britax Parkway Click and Go Combo is very simple to fold with just the pull of the lever and a click of a button. This model is a fantastic choice for parents who want to use their car seat in other vehicles, since it is able to be removed from the base.

Easy to Fold

It should be easy to fold and unfold the car seat, regardless of whether you're storing it inside your trunk, or in the closet. The best combinations we've tested feature a simple one-handed fold that is compact and sturdy enough to use for long walks. They're also easy to maneuver, gliding effortlessly over uneven surfaces and bumps. Some combos are connected and removed using straps. This could feel like a second step, and can make it difficult for parents to secure their car seat correctly.

The BOB Revolution Flex Combo is an excellent option due to its sturdy construction and convenient features, including a large storage bin that can be accessed from the front or back. Its exclusive SafeCenter LATCH makes it easy to ensure a secure car seat installation by simply connecting the lower anchors and pulling the straps tight and clicking the carrier into the base.

It's also relatively lightweight which makes it a great option for frequent travellers or families with multiple vehicles. Both the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo and the Thule Urban Glide 2 scored high in our ease of use tests. Both come with a single front wheel that is easy to push (one-handed! Both have one front wheel that is easy to push (one-handed!). They also have a movable spinner wheel, ideal for running errands and shopping. The only downside is that they're quite heavy and therefore it can be difficult to lift them up when carrying a child in a car seat.

Easy to Assemble

Certain car seat and stroller combinations are difficult to put together. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the simplest travel systems to put together. It even includes a helpful guide. Other models we tried, such as the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule Urban Glide 2, and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also simple to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo however isn't easy to put together. It requires two steps to attach the lower anchors, and using straps to protect the bottom of the carrier. It's also heavy, so it takes two hands to snap the carrier into the base and detach it from the base.

In our tests, it took us about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 together. This is relatively quick when you consider the amount of time it saves by not having to take out the pieces. The toddler seat can be slid into and removed with ease on most of these models.
