The best combinations we've tested feature a simple one-handed fold that is compact and sturdy enough to use for long walks. This could feel like a second step, and can make it difficult for parents to secure their car seat correctly.

The only downside is that they're quite heavy and therefore it can be difficult to lift them up when carrying a child in a car seat.
Easy to Assemble
Certain car seat and stroller combinations are difficult to put together. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the simplest travel systems to put together. It even includes a helpful guide. Other models we tried, such as the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule Urban Glide 2, and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also simple to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo however isn't easy to put together. It requires two steps to attach the lower anchors, and using straps to protect the bottom of the carrier. It's also heavy, so it takes two hands to snap the carrier into the base and detach it from the base.
In our tests, it took us about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 together. This is relatively quick when you consider the amount of time it saves by not having to take out the pieces. The toddler seat can be slid into and removed with ease on most of these models.
